Stand by mate, I reckon you are about to get a load of 'pro's and con's'.
Personally I have been using 12lb X line on my ledgering pin for years and have no problems with it other than the normal 'Flouro' problems of stiffness etc!!

Hi men,

You will get a few people who don't get on with fluro in general. Used / use it in 12lb , not let me down, change it regular , clean it as you wind in at the end of each session .

My only issue with X-line is, it is overrated in BS. The 10lb breaks at around 8lb, the 12lb at 10lb and the 15 at 12lb, but if you know those facts, no problem. I use the 15lb as reel line, 12lb for hooklenghts, does aswell as most mono,s, and is far less visible in water, I,am convinced its caught me shed loads of daytime Thames fish over the years, when friends using mono, just blanked.

The trouble is, when you consider that virtually all mono is vastly under rated, with 10lb rated mono commonly actually breaking in excess of 15lb (see 'Tackle Box' comparison chart) then the difference is even greater. This means that if you want an X line that will ACTULLY snap at the same pull as 10lb rated mono, then you need to buy the 20lb rated X line

However, as in all thing...if it works for you, then go for it :D

Cheers, Dave.
