My run of a 'Yorkshire barbel per month' came to an end in January, so I've been on the predator trail. I had a PB of 21 lbs 14 oz from the Trent yesterday which was my first 'twenty'. As with all fishing, the shock came when I tried to lift up the landing net! Happy days! :)

Thanks chaps. Actually Joe, it was caught at last light and the unhooking etc. was done without the use of a torch. it took me a while to set up my camera/bracket/release cable while I had the fish was resting in the landing net in the margin. This is why it was dark by the time I was ready for the 'trophy shot'.
