Super rods for flood conditions if you're using heavy feeders and leads. I've one of the originals and the follow on version. both very similar. Build quality is right up there with the best. You will be surprised at the sensitivity of the tip, even in a heavy flood the smallest of chub pulls can easily be seen. They are not a through action blank so just be aware of that when the fish is under the rod top.
And no i don't work for peregrine.

Steve, I use mine on the Trent. As Ed has said it's a great rod for heavy work but if you haven't had hold of one, I suggest you do. The blank is not the slimmest and this can affect your feelings towards it, if that's what you are used to. I agree again with Ed that it's not your usual through-action blank in normal conditions, but with a big fish on, in a strong flow, it does bend all the way to the butt! Apart from big river barbel fishing, it's a tidy rod for deadbaiting for river pike IMO.
