Peregrine Rods.

Specialist Floodwater rod vs Heavy Water rod.

Apart from the description. ie. the tip section, are the two rods much different?
Are the actions similar or are they two different beasts?

Cheers.

Pick up the phone and talk to roger.
I spoke to him quite recently about these rods in particular and despite the fact they are both intended for the same type of fishing, they are extremely different rods.
the flood water rod isn’t a conventional Harrison blank under the peregrine name it’s a special rod that was designed by both roger and Steve Harrison for flood water power application. A bit like bobs I powers and marks dark carbons, it’s very specific to the builders input on the design.
the heavy water rod is a standard Harrison blank and my guess would be something like a chimera 3. I can’t comment on what they are like personally as I haven’t held either but roger does explain very well what the actual differences are Just give him a buzz.

They are very different beasts. Unfortunately when I added the Heavy Water Rod to the Peregrine website (when I used to manage the site for Roger) I failed to notice that I had used the same image for both rods, so it may lead to confusion. I only just noticed this "error" :(
