Perch - the Nile variety!

I know a few guys on here have expressed an interest in having a go for these creatures so hopefully this might be of interest.........

after lengthy discussions with Ibrahim Ali we are trying to move the business forward, we are offering to those who are interested a trip in april for either one or two weeks, If we go to lake nasser for one week it will be a cheap trip and will start and finish at Aswan, this will cost £425 per person as long as we have SIX people

I`m in!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Believe me, thats seriously cheap, £350 less than the usual going rate for April!!!!!

Sorry Rhys, been out in China for a week and have completely forgotten to pop in here since I got back!!

The cost covers first and last night in Luxor, five days (minimum) on the lake, all food and hot drinks (water and alcohol chargeable). All tackle is provided as well as lures. Pay for what you lose or break (we`ve only lost a couple of lures in all the time we`ve been there).

Flights are not included, they`re about £380 at the mo.

By comparison, if you went with African Angler their prices are nearly double. On top of that you have to pay for transfer from Luxor to Aswan, all tackle hire (not 100% sure but think that is about £15 a day) plus lure hire (again, about £10 a day).

This is an amazing deal, I just wish more folks would take it up so we could get out there!!!!!!!!!!

I can understand you thinking it IS an amazing deal Martyn.....and you wanting more people to take it up so that the price comes down to that level for yourself is understandable as well. However, when you add the initial cost of £425 to the flight cost of £380, then add the cost of food and drink at the hotel for the first and last days, and the cost of bottled drinking water during the trips (essential)...then I would suggest the total cost will be a minimum £1000, and probably somewhat more...for five days fishing. And that doesn't include any alcohol you wish to consume.

That may be an amazing deal....but it's still nothing but a pipe dream for most anglers, especially if they are married ('cos it will cost you at least that much again for the deal you need to work out to keep SWMBO happy :D)

However, there are plenty on here who can afford it, so good luck with your venture...and show us the pictures on your return :)

Cheers, Dave.
