Parcel Force Rod Length Limit..

Hi All,

Took a six foot rod tube containing a rod to 3 post offices today only to be told that the length limit is now 1.5 mtrs:mad: Posted one not to long ago and they took it ok think that it was 2 mtrs plus at that time....So if anyone is thinking of sending a rod through the post office good luck:eek:

Been there, i too sent a 6 foot parcel, which they accepted, only to turn down a 5 foot parcel the week after. I argued the point, then on showing me, parcel forces limits, which is max length of 1.5 m. I went to the next village Post Office, the parcel was duly accepted. funny world.

do whatever you want, and collect from you. Prices vary according to service. I just sent a 2 m long, 1 Kg package for £17 with insurance and tracked delivery.

I've used Interparcel in the past, and found the service excellent. 6' rod tube, collected from home or work, delivered to mainland UK, £8 inc vat.

I was trying to send a rod in 6ft rod tube by Parcel Post. Woman on phone said "why don't I cut into two"...???

Lads thank you for the pointer to Interparcel have got it sorted now £11:)

Another good one is "Swift Force", sent a flatback brolly ( 6 foot when folded ) and a few kilo's in weight back to diawa. £19 inc insurance and order tracking.
