Paper clips!!!!!!

I have for sometime, well ever since the guy next door got rid of his chimney, been making my own leads as cheaply as possible. I make my leads bottom rig and backleads out of paper clips!! The reason I use paper clips is to enable me to change leads just by clipping them on or off and it's cheap
method
1/ melt the lead
2/ block the one end of a socket from a socket set with modelling clay choose size of socket required for weight
3/ spray the inside the unblocked end of the socket with WD 40 helps the solid lead slide out
4/ pour the lead into the socket and whilst fluid insert the paper clip to the depth required
5/ when solid pull out
I hope you can see from this description the flexability of use eg clip it onto a fixed lead boltrunner, clip it on as a free runner (insert a rubber insert sleave to lock on to line) don't insert a rubber insert especially in weedy swims if it gets caught the clip bends and releases or slip on to line after casting to form backlead. If you do lose one it is so easy to clip on another.
If you are not sure from my not too good description just pick up a paper clip and put it on a line and you will see the versatility amd it's so cheap
