Pair - fox kevlar barbel multi tip butt sections

Justin Cubberley

Senior Member
Here i have for sale 2x fox kevlar barbel butt sections only

These allow anyone with the barbel multi tip rod to make a second one using those top sections supplied with the original rod.

I doubt that you will ever see these butt sections advertised anywhere again.

Both sections are in A1 condition and are factory originals. Now surplus to requirements as i no longer have the rods.

Any offers???

errrr, no

now if you had a couple of 'Kevlex' but sections that might be different, £1.50 each but you pay the postage;)

If you can wait until after my upcoming heamorrhoidectomy operation, I may well be in need of a replacement butt. Not sure I will want it if it has been sprayed burgundy though :D

Cheers, Dave.

Baboon springs to mind:D I already have one grey butt in this house, she's a weimarner though;)

Thanks to those of you have sent messages of support, the many "Get well" cards and the numerous hospital visits from BFW members. Although still heavily sedated, I feel well enough to face the World without the coveted Fox Kevlar rods. Sometimes, looking back, things sometimes turn out for the best. I met a lovely Chinese nurse (Mehong) who was treating me in hospital and was incidentally in the finals for Miss China. Although 40 years my junior it transpires that she has similar interests to me. She has accepted my proposal to move in with me and nurse me back to health. Her knowledge of fishing is outstanding and when she learnt of the reason that I was admitted to hospital, informed me that there were quite a lot of Chinese copies of Fox Kevlars in circulation. If the buyer of Justin's rods would like to send them to me, Mehong, will verify whether they are genuine Fox Kevlars or copies. If copies then they are only worth £10 or so.

I'm quite interested in the butt sections that are for sale. Purchase of these say for £25 each would be on the assumption that they are not copies. Are there any BFW members prepared to sell the top sections of the Kevlar rods that they own? Obviously, I would be prepared to pay a fair price for a top section and I would estimate this to be in the order of £30 (including rod bag). I would not require the quiver tips and the seller(s) would be able to sell these on and hence maximise the price of those bits of the rod that they would still retain.

Jim, what a guy! Awesome.
Anything that I can do to help with your butt sections, you only have to ask.

Chin up!
