**On May 31st 2014 starting at 1200 hrs The Osprey Specimen Group launch their own book at
The Lands End Inn, Charvil, Twyford, Reading RG10 0UE.

With over 30 chapters written by well known anglers associated with the group such as Martin Bowler, Jerry Hammond, Chris Yates, Tony Gibson, Chris Turnbull to name but a few, and including many by Osprey's existing members, with most aspects of angling being covered, as are most species.

All profits from the book will go to Cancer Research UK, as the book is dedicated to Osprey records officer Simon King who passed away last year after a short battle with cancer.

All welcome.

Hi Graham- I am away that weekend but would love a copy of the book. Would it be possible to reserve one and then just let me know the easiest way of paying?

Having just recovered/recovering from cancer myself i would also love a copy of the book - i have looked on their website and facebook pages but it does not say how to order. If you are present could you please rerve me one as well and PM the details of how to pay?

Many thanks for the link and the offer to pick one up - i will save you the trouble of postage and order on line. Recovery is going well - hope to get out a lot more this year :D
 
Incredible turn out for the book launch today.

Good to see so many and chat. Nice to see Crooky, Micky and young Mike Wilson.

I think they sold out of books before the end.. Got yours Howard.

Good to see you too Graham although we had forgotten about the launch and just popped in for a cool pint after a work party on St. Pats, which is looking lovely by the way!!

That Wilson bloke looks younger every time I see him, it must be true that wealth and title extend a mans life ;)
 
Graham not a book lover but will be ordering this . I believe Mark Salt done a chapter in this as well
 
He certainly has Dean.

It really is a cracking book. You can get one fof £25 or a signed one on ebay for £110!

Apart from some great stories, it has some stunning Chris Turnbull pictures.

My small contribution is just a page as a short tribute to my pal Simon.

My copy arrived this morning and it looks absolutely superb! And with the big plus of all profits going directly to Cancer Research UK. Great gesture that.
