one for the camera buffs

Take a look on the inside of the lens casing Jerry - if it's threaded you can get a polarizing filter to fit. You should be able to pick one up from most specialist photography shops. When purchasing go for a Circular polariser rather than a linear one. They are more expensive but deal with a wider variety of light conditions and shooting angles.

Jerry,

Unfortunately, according to the specs (despite what looks like a thread in the picture) this camera does not have a lens thread, which means you can not fit a polarising lens by conventional means. Try asking at Jessops or similar if they have any type of clamp on holders/filter attachment, which may be adaptable to take a polariser...worth a try.

I know it sounds crazy, but as an emergency measure I have held one of the lenses of my polarised sunglasses in front of a camera before now...and it worked  which kind of demonstrates that any means of fixing a polarising lens will do at a pinch...so long as you remember to remove it before switching this type of camera off :D

Cheers, Dave.

Linear will mess up the cameras AF as well. Any polariser will slow that 10xlense by up to 2 stops so be careful even if you can make one fit.

Hi Jerry,
You can buy gelatin polarizing filters and cut to size, much cheaper than glass ones.
I use them in the operating theatre to remove glare from the skin.
I will look up the email address and post it later.
An a 5 sheet is about £15.

Just to add that I had one of these cameras until last year (lost it on a train in Langollen). I was very happy with the picture quality.:)
cheers

A update for you from my mate - Well Kodak's camera support person for UK

There where filters for camera's of this age sometimes an adapter was required. Unfortunately he does not have any or know of where to get them but that appears not top be an issue from the other posts.

It is not a feature of the newer camera's though.
