On a mission to my local 99p shop today in search of cheap mango chutney ( my life is soooo full and interesting ) I discovered tins of Tulip luncheon meat ( as endorsed by Trevor West :D ) and Plumrose Bacon Grill for ( ironically )....99p ! Don't bother with the one in Finsbury Park for a week or two as I cleared them out of the Tulip !! When quizzed by the staff regarding the amount I told them I was going o dye it and open a down-market Tapas restaurant ;)

Compared to some of the crud I was served up recently, that would be an up-market one :D

Interesting though fella...well worth a look at that price :)

At work and half asleep (long night) and only half read it the 99p just bypassed me also:-

" Finsbury Park for a week or two as I cleared them out of the Tulip" threw me as I assume a chains store."

My local town seems to have so many 99p stores I'd need a new pair of shows by the time I'd checked them all.

Another hour yet .................god it's dragging today

Mind you, you would have a hell of a job finding either of those on at Hemel wouldn't you ?

Know what you mean though mate, there are loads of 99p shops around, I guess nobody bothered to patent the name.
 
Well I'm off for a couple of beers (not too many) some cards (should be interesting considering today).

According to the worse 1/2 there is one in town between Primark and another clothing shop no wonder I have not noticed

Don't knock it Steve...keep the missus buying her clothes in Primark and there should be more money left for the important things in life :D

She just buys more ......sore point over the last few months....we have a better understand now.

Cards not too bad down but not enough left to buy some tins.
