Okuma Longbow

There was mention of these a couple of years back, a few lads swore by them, one thing for sure they will be smooth, just don't expect them to last as long as a Shimano.

I have a pair, been using them for the, last 5 plus years, they are both as good now as the day they were purchased, good solid reels, smooth , good line lay, fantastic clutch , reliable baitrunner system which is easy to set, come with 2 spools, one alloy and one plastic ( I think) Very good value for money.
I use them on a rocky , snaggy, River Ribble, and on the Trent, both reels loaded with 15 lb mono, which may sound a bit heavy, but it really helps when bringing in decent fish when using heavyish feeders, or weeded up due to conditions.

The only reels I have seen as good imo are Shimano 3500 btr"s ( I have one so I can compare easily enough )

Dave.

Had two of these and they are work horses. As described great line lay etc. But for fears of short lifetime don't worry. Ive used these for carp and sea fishing and they have stood up to alot of abuse. In my opinion you can't go wrong with okuma.
