Final details of the Nottingham Piscatorial Societies guest speaker evening and fishing tackle show. None members are very welcome so are you free on Wednesday evening the 1st of November for a great nights entertainment raising funds for our Junior Section . The doors open at 6.30pm and the show starts at 7.30pm.
This year the show at Newark Showground NG24 2NY has 3 guest speakers Des Taylor speaking about his approach to catching Trent chub and barbel along with Andy Field an angler who specialises in fishing for and catching Trent barbel on the float. We also have the Environment Agency with a report of their initial findings in the River Trent barbel survey. There is no need to book, entry is available on the door at just £5 with juniors getting in free. Along with the guest speakers we have a number of bait and tackle stalls for anglers to wander around for a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
The purpose of the evening is not only to provide a great night for all local anglers but to raise funds for the Nottingham Piscatorial Society to continue to develop their junior coaches and the work they do with local schools and scout groups in teaching them about the countryside and how to fish.
