Ok its not Barbel but a lot of you also fish for carp and this video is a bit special
Sam a mate of mine did this Vlog on Morocco's Bin El-Ouidan, 2000ft up in the mid Atlas mountains and over 300ft deep in places

I fished it many years ago and had the most amazing time including a storm that produced waves 1.5 metres high really scary
this video captures the amazing scenery and weather I would advise any Carp angler to put this on their bucket list its as cheap as a French trip and that includes a nice flight there too ENJOY !

Yes it’s great out there isn’t it. The film captures some of the beauty of watching the sun rise over the mountains and it’s beautiful there.

I’ve known Sam for twenty five years (Jesus..) and we spent two weeks fishing from a tiny island out there on Bin El Oidane plus a couple of other trips there. I’ve only ever caught more than him once in twenty odd years of fishing trips. He’s a very good angler indeed and a lovely chap.

I took him down to the Loddon and helped him catch a double figure barbel once but he’s carp mad.

yes Sam is one of life`s Top blokes indeed
on my trip (April 2013) we had a proper storm and 2 Italian anglers were on the little island the waves got so big they were washing over the island one of their inflatables went cartwheeling down the length of the lake and out of sight they were terrified the pontoon boat from base tried to come out but was just blown backwards they got rescued the next morning apparently they could not swim either Poo poo coming 😂

The weather there can be brutal. You’re beaten by the wind, scorched by the sun and then you can be frozen All in the space of 24 Hrs. I remember one trip I couldn’t use my fingers for about two weeks afterwards!

it’s Mother Nature in charge out there and it’s absolutely brilliant.
