Normark Titan 2000 12ft (completely unused)

Yes that’s correct this iconic rod in ultra rare condition has been in the world since the early 90’s and never seen the bank. Probably stuck in a collection for the last 30 odd years
I only bought it simply because….. well it’s rarity and an opportunity presented itself.

I’m not going to use it
I’m certainly not rich enough to start collecting mint normarks
It’s absolutely wasted sat in a tube doing nothing
I bought it with another normark rod that I do use and it was a package deal at the time.

So if you haven’t used one before i would describe them as a light action fast action rod with line rating up to 4lb maximum.
Very fast hollow tip perfect for top n bottom float work on small rivers and streams.

A typical situation where these titan2000’s shine so well. Brilliant grayling rods on small becks and streams. If I was keeping it, that’s exactly what id keep it for

floats 2-3g feel perfect on it.
Capable of landing good sized fish no problem, however if I was going to go out and target big chub in numbers I’d choose an avenger for that game.

Good second hand Titan 2000’s fetch 250-300 depending on condition.

I’m asking £320 for a brand new unused one.

I bet that doesn’t hang about? I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s sold by the next time I look in? Mate 👌🏻
Cheers Jim.
Certainly very uncommon to find unused examples but there has been a decline in interest in the older 2000’s since the release of the newer version which hit the stores in June

I think people are now waiting for those to come out and the older ones being sold are struggling to make what they were flying out at 8 months ago.

I’d be surprised if the newer rods would be as good in quality with the materials used etc, as newer in my experience with most things these days very rarely means better! Mate 😉👍🏻

Always interested (only as an observer nowadays) in the "evolution" of the use of the Normark brand. My earlier 13ft Titan Match is a favourite, closely followed by the 12ft & 13ft Microlite Match models of the same era. Sometimes I take all three out for a trot. The latest incarnations will have to be very good to be comparable to most of the original and 2000 "family".
