New Drennan Umbrellas if your interested?

A curious feature. Why would one want to secure their rods to the brolley?

They come on lots of brolleys and shelters now Rich so I guess they get used . Personally I’ve never needed them as I always drop the rod on the rest when seeing to the business end
Maybe after landing a fish it could be convenient to lean the rod up high against the brolley while you sort it out 🤷🏻

I cant see this being any better or as good as the Fox specialist brolly

or am I missing something ?

Shame there's no Side panel or flat back.
I think the lack of sides is a blessing
Pegging sides down in tight or overgrown swims is a pain in the arse which is why the fox never appealed to me.
The only negative with my Korum is the inability to remove the center pole. This new drennan appears to have all the answers for the light travel guy who likes to pack a brolly

Hi all
I've just brought a Diawa 50" Brolly for £45 from AD, it came with steel pole, which I unscrewed, and replaced it with an aluminium pole. It has a good quality waterproof fabric cover with taped seams and weighs 5 lb 3oz / 2.35kg which is lighter than the korum graphite or the Drennan Brolly and is soo much cheaper!!!
Regards Wayne

Well going to eat my words as today I just SOLD my beloved Fox specialist brolly !!

the reason is due to my now permanent health problems it was hurting my back to collapse it SOOOOOO I am thinking of replacing it with this Drennan just hoping it has a normal button release that I can probably manage ok

any owners care to comment please :)
