Nash Scope rods

I have been using these in 2.75 for carp in last year or so and love them...convenient and easy to transport and great for the small waters I fish.
I just love the short rod concept at 9/10ft and playing fish is such a better experience I feel. So have been pondering getting some of the 1.75 versions for river fishing (small rivers like the Ouse)...does anybody have any experience of using these for barbel or chub...and any comments good or bad? Thanks

Hi men,

Someone I trust used them in that TC , aimed at barbel , but said they did not come up to scratch , and he got them for nothing . I asked Nash for ages to do them in a lighter test curve , as the way they could be shut down perfectly suited the way me and Sue were fishing , crawling around in tight swims . The principle is sound , but it may be the butt eye is to far up for a lower TC , ever thought of using your carp rods , would you get away with them ? .

As Iv said , not a personal review , just an observation .

Mmm had thought of that but I like to keep them rigged up, often even clipped up or lines marked so I can just put on bait and cast out...suits my 2hr after work quickies! Was hoping to do same with a lighter rod for the river
Maybe a 2.25 version would be better?
