Mullet fishing around Tenby

Does anyone have any experience of fishing for Mullet in and around Tenby, South West Wales? Having booked a summer holiday there, mainly for the 'Kids', I am looking for some personal therapy. I know this is a popular holiday destination and expect crowds but hope there is potential for some unsociable hours short sessions for species other than mackerel.

The Cleddau estuary has some good mullet in it - fished it from Burton and Milford Haven with harbour rag and bread (around 15 miles away).
Think Saundersfoot harbour has some - I'd ask at the local tackle shop 'Bay Fishing Tackle' in Saundersfoot.
Quite a few small carp lakes as well - again ask at Bay Fishing Tackle.
Best of luck,

Cheers

Thanks Bob, most helpful.

The Burton/Milford Haven area I stayed in many years ago (30+), it's near the toll bridge, but I had totally forgotten about it. I will also give the tackle shop in Saundersfoot a go although I thought they had closed (the new one in The Strand?).

Best regards

Les

Hi Les,
Maybe Bay Tackle has closed - been some time since I was last in the area.
The toll bridge - yes stayed in that area and had some mullet from there at low water.
Cheers
Bob
