Muck boot tay sport

Hi all hope your well, The front of my muckboots has split at the seam.
Its basically at the toe area and although some have said glue it back together, i was in two minds. Any help would be appreciated

I remember when I was a kid, that I took a hot knife to a split in my Doc Martens. Insert the knife squeeze shut and weld the split. It works but takes big Cahunnas on some Taus.

I was thinkng more along the lines of a specialist glue Jon! Your right about not having the cahunnas mate! someone suggested aquasure?

Thing is Adrian i paid £80 for them! Gonna give the glue a try and see what happens. Think i will try the sundridge hot foot's or the skeetex moonboots!

Have a look at grubs boots hurgen. Better Vibram sole. Had the Tays but the grubs beat them on the soles.

Failing that get yourself some army LOWA type gortex cold weather boot.
Fantastic boot warm waterproof lightweight vibram sole have used them in many a different continent and they are fantastic and cheaper

Cheers Jon. To be honest, I suffer from cold toes in the winter. The muckboots were good if I was roving but most of my fishing is done static. Hence why I was thinking of getting the skeetex.

cheers lads. I wasnt ignoring you! Just my phone was playing up and was only seeing limited posts! Im gonna take them to the shoe repairs place and see what happens. Filing that gonna stuff them with glue!

Many years ago I used to wear a wet suit for my winter training, I did have a product which would repair tears in that but it was specific to the material, you could ask the retailer of the boots what they recomend, the reason I was negative about the repair was because you said it was on a seam. I assume you mean the welt between the upper and the sole, that will be hard to fix.

That is exactly it Adrian! I did ring the main supplier in the UK but they said because i didn't have a receipt they couldn't help. Except that they recommended aqua-sure. Think im gonna try that and then put them up on eBay. I'm gonna get myself some warm hiking boots.
