Maggot feeder at night?

Hi Chaps

I know that a maggot feeder rig can be good for catching in low clear conditions but does this apply to fishing after dark as well?

Cheers
Ali

Worth a go if bigger baits aren't working but I'd expect to be plagued by nuisance fish, not least eels on my local river Thames.

In the 80's I regularly used to catch 100Lb bags with maggot feeder at night.
I used to swear by plain whites my mate used to use chrisodine yellow ones, it made no difference at all to our catch rate.

Barbel will certainly feed on maggots at night, in particular if you have managed to get them into the swim during daylight. In these circumstances it's a deadly method.
