Light shelter / brolly

Hi all
Can anyone recommend a day session brolly/shelter for the river Bank. The fox supa brolly looks a decent bit of kit so any reviews on this would be welcome. Must be light !!!!

Thanks

If it's just a light weight brolly you're after I can recommend THIS I bought one a couple of years ago and its' light weight makes the decision of "should I take it" a bit easier.

The pics aren't very clear but there's a couple of peg down points at the bottom of the rear panels, coupled with two guy lines from the top makes it very stable.

As bob said if it’s just a spike in the floor for a day session then I don’t think you’ll go far wrong with a simple 45-50 inch brolley. Here’s a review I did on mine which I absolutely love and goes with me everywhere.

After lending a brolly to a mate for a day session, which he proceeded to trash. He paid for a replacement and I put some money towards one of these.

Only use it twice, but it would be ok for an overnighter. Maybe not for a bedchair, but I've put my chair and all my gear under it and it's fine for that.

I bought a Pentalite last winter...was looking for a Fox Specialist but there were none in stock anywhere.

Been very happy with it so far, stood up to some fair winds, and can squeeze my bedchair under it if i need to as well.

Very light...certainly the lightest 'storm' brolly i have ever picked up, and i like that the mechanism doesn't need to be faffed about with via an erection pole etc.

Does me just fine.

Thought I’d take a look at what the Pentalite is all about and it seems that no one has stock at the moment apart from “Dick Turpin” in Norfolk who is claiming four in stock at a penny shy of 300 quid each. Now I’ve heard of supply and demand but that’s taking the p**s. They can stay in his stock room as far as I’m concerned.

I bet there is non in his stock room and that 300 pound price tag gets you on the website looking for others more reasonably priced. AD do the same but mark them out of stock but really cheap to get you surfing their site

It’s on eBay Rich, clearly says four in stock and delivery by Tuesday next. I’m afraid it would cloud my opinion of the company in future as being rip off artists. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think the RRP is about £110/£120 and to ask £300 ( less a penny) is totally wrong but I ‘spose there will be someone either desperate for the item or misinformed and influenced by others recommendations that will part with the money. Not me, as said they can keep ‘em in stock.

Fox Easy shelter plus, 8 pegs, removable front and you can get a bed chair in for an overnight. Only problem I have is you do get a bit of condensation and there is no ground sheet. Plus side, very easy to put up and take down.

Pimped up Fox Specialist 45 . . .add a pair of additional storm pole adaptors for the front spars (Fox part ref CUM219-17) and you can remove the centre pole / withstand hooligan winds. Fits in the Drennan Specialist 3rod quiver perfectly . . .comes with 5x pegs - stormpoles not included . . .I've fitted pro-logic speed connectors to all the storm pole points . . .

I’ve been looking around for a Pentalite and apart from Robin Hood and his band of robbers in Norfolk everyone seems to be out of stock so I’ve contacted Korum direct and they tell me they are expecting a delivery in November so should be back in the shops by end of or early December. Get it on your Christmas list chaps 👍
