Lidl fishing sale is on monday

Actually the glow sticks are superb value, bought some a while back, but use isotopes now. But for anyone who prefers the brighter glow of a starlight, I thoroughly recommend them.

Starlights are good value and I recommend the poncho as well. Under a fiver does the job in the pouring rain, and you can't look more ridiculous for anything less.

at 19.99 is that bag such a bargain? I thought it used to be less than half that price, but maybe I misremembered...

Lidl did a slightly different bag David a while ago for £6.99 maybe that is what you are remembering, i have one in the garage.

ah - is this a different one then? £6.99 certainly sounds like a bargain.

Yes mate it is, the one i bought ages ago is different, i use it t keep my little cookers, pots and pans in. It is not that good a quality to be honest.

Dave, are you not thinking of the one Aldi did? I bought one last year and it is still going strong. I'll be getting some starlights as I've used them this season and they are a bargain, perhaps a bit big on the enterprise holders but think I've worked out how to get them to stay on now.

may well be Stuart....

Aldi
Lidl

Too similar for my simple brain to cope with!

Not sure which, Aldi or Lidl. But one of them done a brilliant camo cap last year for £3.99. It had 5 l.e.d. lights built into the peak. Mine's still going strong. The batteries which come with it are worth more on their own. Keep an eye out for them, a real bargain.

Tescos are selling the Energizer headlight l.e.d. x3 at half price ..£5-49.

A good price and a good product.

Just been down to the local Liddles.... after phonong a few angling buddies up I ended up buying 6 boxes of starlights for distribution, they had all seen me using the starlights last season and all wanted a box .....
All I have to do now is to wring the money out of them .

Dave

Got mine, that's me all sorted for next year, I also bought the lightweight tripod. With a few mods I can see that being very handy......And for a tenner if it's no good I'll grow some beans up it next spring.:D

The bag you were discussing is new this year and will be ideal for the lure anglers out there. The main compartment contains 6 plastic boxes with moveable dividers and the side pockets hold 2 smaller ones. It all seems well put together and is a bargain for £20.

They also have the collapsible net in again, I bought one a couple of years ago to form part of my summer stalking kit on the Teme and its great......Like anything else it will break if you try to horse it but imo if you treat it with a bit of respect it's a good bit of kit and worth 3 times it's £10 asking price. :D

Ps, and you can get a double in it.;)
