Leaking Coleman stove fix

Gerry Giles

I decided to sell one of my 4 Coleman petrol stoves Model 533
and I wanted to make sure it was 100% perfect its hardly been used and sat in its case for a few years
but on testing I was shocked to find it was leaking from the valve !!!
so I made some inquiries and Coleman will only sell the complete valve unit ??

this of course is mad ??.....as it can only be seals that have gone ? but they wont sell them !!!
so with the power of the internet I found the O=ring thats used is a BS009 and its produced in different materials for different applications Temps etc

the BEST one needed for this country is made of VITON cost was £4.73P for a pack of 2 inc free 1st class delivery Ideally assemble it with a bit of silicon grease it now works like the day it was made
the BS009 Viton seals can be purchased from Simply Bearings Lancashire
hope it helps someone
