Landing net handle - please recomend

Guys

Looking for some advice. I have just got a ticket for a new stretch of river I have not fished before (no names - no pack drill).

The banks are natural but high (circa 5 foot in places). From the looks of things you can play fish from the bank with little problem - but I am worried about landing them (as up to now all my bank fishing has been much nearer to the water).

Can anyone recomend a strong / light net handle that might do the trick.

Cheers

I ended up getting a drennan series 7, 2.6m telescopic for £25, i was tempted by the twist lok but couldnt bring myself to spend £42.50 on it! Anyway, the 7 series seems great (although i'll reserve proper judgement until the high banked rivers open in a couple of weeks)

Good handle. Served me well last season.

Try the new Gardner telescopic, about £30 much stronger than a drennan and slightly longer and about the same weight.
Paul.

How about this:eek:

Drennan Specimen for me, although I see lot's of complaints about them, if you treat them well, they are brilliant and worth every penny!

Thanks guys - but I will give the 215 quid uber net a miss!

Had another look at the stretch this afternoon - and I need to go compare and sort this. I saw a couple of good chub today from one of the high bank stretches with cover. Can't wait for the 16th....

at the dragon carp shows....one piece 6ft handles.....2 for a fiver, does what it says on the tin if they reach for you.....cheap enough to stand on at that price....:D
