Landing net for rolling meat.

I would like to do more rolling meat this season, but I found the landing nets I have don't really fit the job. I have darent valley nets, gardner folding pan nets but the problem is they are hard to carry when you walking along the bank with rod in one hand and feeling the bite with another hand.

I know I can get the folding net used by lure fishing guys, but those nets normally have shorter handles and the net is not deep enough. I have the landing net handle with strap so I can carry it on my back, so all I need is a net head, the best I can find so far is the korum fast net, but after breaking another korum net last season, I don't have confidence in the plastic spreader block used by korum, doesn anyone similar nets with a robust spreader block? Thanks.

I know you said you've looked at the predator type handle but these two I'm sure would do the job..

The first one folds to 80cm and the second to 60cm.. I have a 60cm closed and 240cm extended and its fine although its not this make..

I think with the shorter one you could have a 28 to 30 inch net and it would still be able to be carried over your shoulder until needed.

They are also easy to open with one hand and a foot on the net.

Do a google search there are loads out there at all sorts of prices..

Thanks mate, I already have few handles does the job (drennan, Korum and one you mentioned), the problem is the head, I have tried carrying it with a 26in pan head attached, not very comfortable tbh, so I want a folding/flip type head to go with the handles I have.

I’d have a look at the Westin W3 nets, although they are lure focused.

They are folding and have telescopic handles, nowhere near the reach of my Super Specialist (I have multiple net heads for it too) but great if you want to rove and have the bet on your back.

Mine is a massive XL folding version for specimen Pike… I’m going to go for the W3 ‘adjustable’ version soon for Perch and Jack Pike

The medium version might do Barbel

If you've got the cash to splash, actually westin have just released this beauty. Goes 3 or 4 metres!

Yes, I was considering this, just hope the handle can be longer

Bought one of these after seeing it on here. It arrived this morning and my first impressions are good. The net head will take any chub swimming easily but it might be a bit challenging with a big barbel or large river carp. The net folds back onto the handle and is easy to operate with one hand. The extension is insanely long reaching four metres meaning high banks should not be a problem. When folded it is very comfortable to wear and does not interfere with arm movement. It appears very well made and I look forward to using it when I travel South for a week’s roving on the Hampshire Avon on the 29th.

@Huanzhou Zhu I was in AD earlier and noticed this, thought it might do the job for what your after?

I’d like to check the W6 net out but then I think how useful is a 4m long handle?!?!

Maybe for a perch, not for 4lb+ Chub or like….

Thanks, I think the head is about 22inch, which is what I use for chub.
