Korum Xperia landing net, how do you set it up?

I got an old Korum Xpert landing net, 34 inch, looks like a good kit, but I just can’t set it up.

I tried the elbow method, another arm just doesnt fit in the hole, do I need to apply the force to bend the arm? I don’t think that’s the right thing to do.

Any idea? Thanks

Thanks mate, but it has nothing to do with the handles, I am struggle to put the arms into the spreader block...

But I now figured it out, you do need to bend the arm a bit to insert it into the spreader block.

A scaffolder mate has informed me if in doubt us more force, that his thinking to any issue.

You were obviously being too soppy with them Huanzhou
Mine are similar they need a good rive to get em in and out

Yeah, brutal force solves it.

I had one of those nets - the spreader block is a pig; elbow method works but you need to force it. Better off replacing it with a tackle box moulded spreader . .

But the tackle box spreader is for 36 inch net? The korum one I have is 34, I think thats the same size as yours? It works with tackle box spreader?

The net size is pretty irrelevant. if the angle is the same when the net is spread then a spreader block can work for various net sizes. The important dimension is the hole sizes
Personally I would prefer a nice tight spreader that’s more difficult to get the arms in because then you know it’s not coming out. I’ve had them come apart in the past which is not a lot of fun when there’s a fish in it.
My spreader block covers 3 nets for me. A 36inch and 2 at 42inch.

As Rich says - I have a 32 & 36 TB net - the spreader block is the same

Good solid bits of kit if you mean the alloy ones. Built to last.

The tackle box composite landing net arms decent as well.

Personally would ditch that net and get a 36 Specialist (from TB) and upgrade the mesh (which is more suited to still waters) with a replacement Freespirit River mesh (slightly shallower but with a much larger mesh diameter) that they also supply . . .the TB net arms have a pleasing 'bow' when tensioned - the Korum net is a triangle which disturbed my OCD!
