Korum 2.5lb/12ft rods

I'm thinking of getting a pair of these rods for when there's 3-5m of extra water on the Lower Severn, I'm over my ankles in mud, and 4-6oz may be necessary to hold bottom. Any thoughts on these?? I've never even handled any Korum rod so, to anyone that owns one of these rods ... how wide is the blank just above the corks? From photos, the blank is really fat, or the corks are wafer thin ....or maybe both is true 🤣

My step dad uses the 2lb 12ft rods and the 2.5lb 13ft rods. He’s had some big fish out on them.
For the money they are really good.
The cork is quite thin and the carbon section is not particularly slim by any means but for what they cost of 50 quid a rod say, they do a fine job.

The 13ft 2.5 rods put 6 oz out with very little effort

My experience is that most of the Korum barbel rods are very understated for the tc (compared to other rods) - I had the 12' 2lb and they can easily lob a 4-5oz loaded feeder; great rods for the price point so I'd assume the 2.5 is an even heftier beast in 12'!

I still own a pair of Korum 13' 2.75 and again for the £ they are great for the Trent etc - can lob 10oz leads happily and still have decent tip registration / an ok playing action . . . . . another benefit is the abuse factor - I'd happily lob a brick if necessary as they are cheap so less worried about breaking them!

A pair of brand new Korum 2.5lb/12ft rods, for use in the mud pits, delivered today ....for £90 all in :p 👍
(Thanks to info from Dave Mez ... c'mon, join us on BFW!!)

N.b...they're slimmer than the photos look (not a la F/S Hi-S!) but they DO feel well beefy. We'll see eh.
