just use my favourite hooks with a cranked piece of shrink tube which then straightens out when you hook a fish.... im still not convinced that cranked hooks don’t do any mouth damage

Take a butchers at these. I’ve been using them for the past couple of years and I like ‘em 25 hooks for the price of 10 from other suppliers. Available sizes 4-8 if you search Avit Angling

Yes used them quite a lot and a good strong hook
Last few seasons I’ve been using the Bank Tackle wide gape and curve shank - quite a bit cheaper and a really nice consistent hook
Curve shank similar to the Krank but not quite as aggressive a bend

Been using these for my Tench fishing Paul. Nice hook but lighter in the wire than the Avits.

What size of the bank tackle hooks would be about the same dimensions?
Some wide gape hooks I've seen are huge

Justin, the Bank Tackle hooks are about one size bigger than the Drennan. So a size 8 Drennan would be similar to a Bank Tackle 10.

Bank Tackle stuff is really good have asked about a size 12 widegape it would be perfect for small boillies and pellets not doing it yet but might in the future.
