Jet Personal Cooking System

Senior Member
Has anyone used the Jetboil Personal Cooking System?

They seem like a handy thing for brewing up on the bank, nice and compact and not too heavy. They will boil a litre of water in 2 mins!

Was thinking of getting one for the autumn/winter but at around £70 I would like to know what others thought of it.

Thanks

Matt

Hi men,

A mate uses one , but he is mostly static , very quick . Sue drinks loads of cups in a day, and uses the smallest camping kettle she can, and only boils just enough. Unclips the cooker and carrys it in her bag , may upgrade her to one in the end .

Matthew In my opinion the Jet Boil is an excellent system, one I have used for several years, I first used it when I spent 6 weeks floating and fishing the Rogue River in Oregon. Then in the Arctic circle of Sweden. I couldn't have asked for a better bit of kit. Also on the plus side its not Chinese made but built in the USA, Not sure if this is the case today. Regards Martin

nearly bought one, but for the price i thought a kettle and pan set would be more vesatile and cheaper.
my local army store sells loads to the troops in Afghanistan, so they must be quality. shame they are not standard issue for people putting their lives on the line?

I got one and its good but ive noticed recently that the Cup looks like its going rusty and the coating is coming off the bottom of the Cup. This is a main part of the Jetboil so I reckon it would be expensive to replace. I might add that it has only been used a few times.:)
