Ivel Eel

Has anyone ever seen or had an eel out of the Ivel at Biggleswade at all? A friend of mine lost a big one last night.
I know in the 60s they were abundant but in all my years fishing it I have never seen one on the bank

Hi Russell, did see one once back in the early 90's which went 3lb 3oz and have had a couple of smaller ones, but not for many years.
