Hi all, I'm new on here


I'm based in Gloucestershire. I'm keen to give barbel more of a go this season and improve on my PB. I thought a good way to do that would be to join bfw.
Mainly fishing on the Severn, Avon and Teme .... spoilt for choice I know.

Hi Matthew, welcome to the madhouse! It's always quieter at this time of year for obvious reasons, but keep an eye on the River Reports section, that's where you'll find the local knowledge. You're certainly live in the right place for barbel! I fish the Severn (middle and lower) and occasionally the WAvon, Teme and Wye. The latter has been fishing very well and isn't far from you, worth a go. What's your current PB?
