Hi All
I need help again' I'm looking for a hook with a straight shank and eye with an in turned point. I've been using the Drennan super specialist but the point blunts to quick on the gravel.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks

Scaz

I've been using korda wide gapes for the Trent for a couple of years.

They have an inturned point and eye and a straight shank and most importantly, i have complete faith in them.

I'd also suggest investing in a sharpening stone - invaluable for gravelly rivers, but i sharpen my hooks anyway now when carping, it just might give you an edge.

Gold Label Penetrator Super Strong..very strong, inturned beak point, short shank and straight eye. Very good hook in smaller sizes

Try the Gamakatsu "G" points, I've used them for carping the last couple of years and intend trying them for Barbel this year. Very impressed!
