Some advice please. I have decided to bring an old carp rod into service to use as a "spodding" rod. I want to keep it made up with a clip on the end so I can bait up as soon as I arrive at the swim. The problem is it doesn't have a hook keeper ring. Any ideas as to the easiest method to fit a hook keeper to a rod that doesn't already have one? Btw I know I could use one of the rings but thought it would be nice to have a "proper" hook keeper.
