Harrison chimera

Anyone used the 2.5 tc made by Mark Tunley for the Trent. Sounds a very good rod but a lot of money to pay without being able to try one, especially when I'm after 2
Regards Ben

Have a look at the torrix 2.5. Its a superb all round Trent rod. You just need a bit more backbone for when the rivers up a little And a heavier lead is needed.

Fished most of the middle and more so the Tidal. Drop me a pm with your number if you want some advice.

Thanks Neil, already been using something similar but life's too short for compromise so gonna try and get the best I can afford.(plus I am a tackle tart)

I appreciate those Harrison rods have no equal. The tackle tart infliction has no cure, best of luck with your quest:)

Have a look at the classified section Dave Bartell is selling a couple of 2.5tc Harrison multicarp for £260 cracking rods these plus Dave is a pleasure to deal with.

Have a look at the Chimera 3 which has a nominal TC of 2.25 but I think it's a little heavier than that, I've just acquired a couple which I picked up cheaply second-hand and they will comfortably lob a 6oz lead 50 yards on the field at the back.
I use Torrix 2.5s for method feeder fishing for tench and carp fishing and they are very good rods indeed, but I'm inclined to say the Chimera 3 is more powerful and better suited to heavy barbel fishing, for my requirements anyway.

Just picked up my chimeras built by chas burns in york. He's done a great job, the rods look fantastic! Opted for a 2 and 3, went for the 3 instead of the flood n snag as I thought the extra length would be usefull in flood conditions, keep the line away from bank side vegitation. I'd say the 3 would be an ideal bit of kit for the Trent, it's a beast of a rod.

There is a chimera no3 on ebay 1 hour left £130
