Hi chaps , just received my new rods built by Graham at Buzzard Rods..
Had a play with some old ones and was pleasantly surprised how they performed..
Nice stiff tip but still soft enough to show up those taps and twitches...
Then still enjoyable with high singles and low doubles too 11lb, and when playing became obvious where the blank would be at its best with a 14 plus on.
They were too far gone for a rebuild scratched blanks on both rods!!.
So Graham ordered some new blanks from Tiss and here they are , all rigged up for Sunday

I know we all have our own variations of high water rigs ..
Just thought I'd share mine
Starting with 2 tungsten stops , 600mm of tungsten rig tubing to a tulip of your choice with a run ring for your lead ,feeder etc.
Down to a qc swivol and a coated braid hooklink around 600mm though I do sometimes go alot shorter ...
And also sometimes incorporate a back lead above the stops if I think the current is lifting my mainline.
A few pics...
