Well you wouldn’t on purpose, all I’m saying is that a factory build is a fairly generic spec that most people will find little serious fault with in use. Where as, it is possible to buy a used custom built rod off eBay and (if you don’t ask questions or the description is vague) not find out the handle length doesn’t work for you until it turns up.

That looks like a factory build , which may not suit your requirements? A custom built Harrison blank built to your specifications is as good as it gets , but also it comes at a price .

I agree with Christian. What is wrong with a factory built rod....Nothing. I have a pair of both Torrix 12ft 1.75lb. and Chimera Avon 11ft 1.4 lb. Both factory build, which are fantastic rods. why pay over the odds, just to look the business on the bank. the factory built have a pretty perfect length handles, number of eyes for the action of the rods. I would believe that Harrison wouldn't put on more eyes than would suit the action of their rods.

Personally I don’t like the blingy stickers and they usually have too many rings , not sure why you’d buy a used custom build that didn’t suit your requirements ?

I agree with Christian, more likely a standard specialist which are available in 12' 1.5lb, 12' 1.75lb, 12' 2lb and 12' 2.25lb blanks. And a 11' 1.4-1.6lb (different builders rate this blank differently but it's known as the Harrison Avon and it's a classic rod) and an 11' 1.10lb blank known as the SU (stepped-up) Avon.

There is also a 12' 1.5lb 4-piece variant known as the Tryptich.

Older tech blanks with a more traditional through action than the Torrix and Chimera blanks, and all lovely to fish with. The 2lb and 2.25lb versions would be good rods for the Trent, especially the latter.

Also the 11' four piece Avon - which is so versatile.
