Hi all does anybody know of any good day ticket stretches of the Hampshire Avon apart from the royalty thanks

I just looked at the Bisterne Fishery website and couldn't find river day tickets, just day tickets for a pond (sorry, lake).

Bisterne is a day ticket water,only open August,September, October then reopens February till end of season

Any idea how much the Bisterne day ticket costs? It just says buy tickets from the River Keeper's House... no mention of rates.

They were £12 last season I haven’t fished it this season yet so don’t know if it’s changed

For anyone interested, Bisterne can be fished free by members of Christchurch Angling Club. It is though only open August and September and last 6 weeks of the season for coarse fishing. Certainly for Barbel it's one of the more likely venues available on a day ticket. It is though hard like all of the Avon. Even the Royalty which is also day ticket is hard and not at all like it once was.

Bisterne is open until end of October this year - day tickets £12 from River Keepers lodge. Beautiful middle Avon stretch although rock hard - as I'm currently finding out
