I recall a similar question being posted on here back around 2018 Peter,… maybe worth checking the archives.
It was rumoured that some were built on Harrison blanks but nothing definitive was forthcoming on that particular thread.
I’ve still got the Giant MB Ouse barbel that I brought donkeys years ago and still love despite it being a budget rod ,.. 12’ , 1.1/2lb tc medium action and very forgiving.
I then went and bought a Giant 2.1/2lb tc pike rod which weighed a ton and I hated.
Here’s a pic of the Ouse barbel rod still doing its stuff on the D.Stour,… despite its name.
