Generous offer Andy but as a carper who has up to the moment only lurked on here I cannot understand their use in Barbel fishing. Maybe I am wrong but most guys on here fish a self hooking rig, the inertia of any stones in water is very low as it's density is much less than lead theirfore it's weight in water is low. This won't help a bit in fast flowing water either unless you want the bait to move. A bit of a disaster in my local snaggy rivers

I have never looked at them so please excuse my ignorance, is Ade right are they just a stone? I assumed in my ignorance they were some form of composite material. When I used to fish the Ouse I did drill my own stones and araldite a swivel in them for low clear conditions. They did work under the rod tip but I cannot be sure if they worked any better than a lead.

They are very useful in there own way, they don,t have to be used just for barbel fishing, and not everyone uses a self hooking set up. :)

Here you go Kev. :)

Pallatrax

They come in different colours, sizes, and every one is a different shape.
