gerrards cross and uxbridge angling society help

Hi All,

Does anyone have any info at all on the stretch owned by GXUDAS that runs through Uxbridge? I am really interested in fishing this stretch and therefore joining the club pretty much to soley fish this. I have just started working in uxbridge and would have good access to the river in the morning and evenings but is it worth paying the yearly membership just to fish this river?

Any help would be great!

Thanks fellas

no, i won't be joining next year!!
to be honest, you would be better to join uxbridge rovers, the only reason for me to join again would to get a reading ticket and even then i might go for the tring anglers instead, if you want to fish that bit of colne, a better and cheaper bet is to fish downstream on the free bit behind trimite towards mill road.

it's not bad, it's just not worth the money, there's the odd barbel there and a fair few nice chub, rovers is a much better club.

Thats a shame as it looked really good the other day. I'll keep having a walk on my lunches and see if I come accross anything!

Thanks for your help,

Regards,

it's a nice place, just not that brilliant when it comes to the whiskers, GX have also clamped down on members over staying into darkness.

I have a bit of the Colne, Gerrards X i believe own it, runs around my three side of my warehouse. I feed a of swims regularly, i have seen some quality chub but only one small barbel.

Plenty of old boys like fishing there though.
