I have used it for hooklengths for 4 yrs. 11.2 B.S never had a problem using a 5 turn grinner + saliva

It's great stuff Robert provided that there are no sharp rocks, as Geoff says the 11.2 BS is spot on.

Best fluoro I've used. 11.5 for normal or 13.2 for snag fishing.

Regarding the Frog Hair,am I correct in thinking that it has a either a sell by or use by date on it?

My spools don't have any dates on them, just a bar code. I use it as tippet material for fly fishing and hook length for float fishing for chub and grayling, haven't tried it when barbel fishing as I tend to use braid. But it is really good stuff, if expensive.
I hope it doesn't have a use by date as i have three 30 ms spools of the stuff in approx 4, 5 and 8 Lb ( it's fly tippet spools, so 4X, 3X and 2 X which approximates those Lb strains) which I have been using for the last three years and still has a lot on it.
