Hi All, I've had a pair of these put aside for selling next close season (when the market's better), but if there's any fully paid up member on here that's thinking about buying themselves a pair for Xmas .... they'll know that you can't buy a pair new for under £730. Plus you'll know that second hand ones are like hen's teeth .. there's very few used examples up for sale.
The two that I've got were standard off the shelf Freespirit builds, weighing just 246g with "S-Lite 25-8tip" guides. But I had the handles pimped by rod builder Bob Wilson, who made a good job of them (well, I like them). But whilst replacing the hook-keeper on one of them, he fractured the blank, and had to spigot the blank there. If anything I believe that this only made that part of the blank stronger, as otherwise top and bottom rod sections wouldn't be connected via spigots (rods very rarely break at the spigot). I bought these for ledger fishing the Middle Severn with 2 rods in summer, which I did during 2020/21 and early 2022 and they caught me plenty of barbel to double figures. But I've not used them since as I've only fished the Middle 3 times in the last 24+ months, and then I was waggler fishing or meat trundling. They come with the original Freespirit rod bags, that have never seen the bank.
So I'm looking to move them on... and suggesting that around £400 (collected, Bewdley area) would be a fair price. Any interest?
