I have a pair Gary, good solid dependable rods . Used them on the Ribble / Trent/ Severn / Teme / Wye when in flood for a number of years and never let me down.
I do not bother with the Quiver top sections though.
I have refused offers for mine as I like them, they do the job intended .
A bit of a rarity , they are / were sought after . If you can grab one , or a pair for a decent price go for it .
Hello Gary , £40 is nothing , snap it up and if you’re lucky you might be able to find a top section to go with it. I have 2 which I bought second hand . They are an out and out big lead rod with the normal top section . I have paired mine up with some Mitchell mx6 reels and 15 lb mainline for fishing the trent in flood or the tidal . Only used them in anger once but they do the business. I have had the reel seats changed to bigger ones on mine felt the reel seats were a bit small. The other thing I have done is use one of the quiver carrier sections to make an extension piece , think it extends to over 13 ft now , which could be handy in some situations .I do have an image of the original sales blurb from fox which I got off eBay but finding it hard to attach to this.
