Fox Kevlex Extreme Multi tip Rods

Hi, I’ve got the opportunity to buy two of these at £240.00 each, in mint condition.

Could anyone on here advise if they are worth that money? Seen a couple on EBay for double that!

Any advise appreciated

Russ

There’s been one on eBay for £750 for yonks…. Not worth anything near that which is why it’s not selling. There lovely versatile rods and I love mine but £240 is probably about the going rate. But ask yourself if you’ll use all 3 tip sections? If yes then might be worth a punt… they will probably hold that value if kept in good nick. Bug you are nearing the price of a bespoke Harrison built for your needs if you add a bit more

Many thanks for the advice Alan. I may well look down the hand built Harrison route.

Best wishes

Russ

I didn’t realise it was the specialist version….so yes Jim’s right no good for barbel but great chub rod

They are excellent Rods
Very high quality and extremely well finished
Not light by any means but the carbon is wrapped in Kevlar which makes the blanks seriously strong.
The kevlex extreme barbel is an awesome barbel rod. The test curves are slightly underrated and the rod tips feel stiffer than what it’s rated to.

The quiver section is brilliant and makes the rod more versatile.

Graham at buzzard rods does an exclusive Torrix tri tip , with 2lb , 1.75lb tops , a 1.75 Carrier section and 3 quiver tips, built to fit drennan tips , so easily replaceable .
A far , far, superior rod to the kevlex extreme barbel. Not cheap tho , but a better investment than a fox kevlex.

I’m not disputing whether Harrison rods do something better or worse. I’m answering the question in the regard that the kevlex extreme barbel rod is a fantastic barbel rod in its own right. Very capable versatile rod and finished off very nicely.
