Simpsons of Turnford, Avon. 11ft 1lb tc rod ( Harrison blank ) in immaculate condition, clean full cork handle with silver coloured wye button, Fuji DPS screw up reel seat, Fuji ring set 25mm butt ring, 10 eyes / rings in total, looks like it’s had tip ring replaced? No rod bag. collection preferred from Selby North Yorkshire. Could be posted if you want to sort your own courier to collect at your own expense and risk. £200.00 collected.

A1 condition Clive, and as rare as hens teath I’ve only ever seen this one it’s one of those rods that I wouldn’t mind if it doesn’t sell, only moving it on because I need something for the Trent mate.

I had 2 of the original Simpson’s carbon Avons back in the day. Some of the best rods I have ever owned. They got nicked and were sadly irreplaceable !

I will offer you a pair of (rare) 2 1/2 lb test Harrison Chimera 12 ft rods for that rod. The Chimeras would make perfect Trent (or other big river) rods. They are stiffer than a C3; and softer than a 2.5 or 2.75 Torrix. They were built as carp rods - so do not have cork handles.
