I had completely forgotten the poor old chap had died. I do recall the fact that Bernard Double used to keep the point swim on Wilstone open for him when he was due for one of his sessions(against all the rules
), and him rowing out in his dingy of an evening to bait up. Now Alan was a time bandit, sometimes staying for months on end...but it produced the fish for him, so fair do's.Cheers, Dave.
