Floodwater fishing

I’ve always been a smelly bait in the right place type when flood water fishing, weather it’s a boilie wrapped in paste or a big lump of meat, do many of you guys bait a swim heavily during floodwater? Something I haven’t tried yet but will be giving it a go this season

I often use a method feeder in a flood but don’t bait up as such because there’s no telling where it will end up.

I may bait up in a hole as such, but generally tend not to. Location is the key tbh.
