Flask Cleaning

just a quick and maybe useful tip if your having problems eradicating stains and / or odour from your stainless steel flask, fill it halway up with Coca Cola then give it a good shake up, after a while fill the flask completely, this will bring it up odour free and clean as a whistle, just a tip i picked up, some meat plants clean the salt injection systems using it;)

i use a tablespoon of bicarbonate soda and a dish washer tablet and fill with boiling water. I couldn't believe the stuff thats comes off the first time i did this so i now do it more regulary :)

Stredent for me.
Took the wife years to work out what they were doing in the cupboard when I still have a full set of nashers:D:D:D:D.
(See is now corrctly trained in the extraction of old teabags and placing said flask in the dishwasher)

1 teaspoon of Citric acid, fill with water, shake, leave overnight, rinse out in morning, job done!
It is the phosphoric acid in cola drinks that does it.

two table spoons of soda crystals and hot water, leave for a couple of hours a quick brush with a bottle brush and hey presto...cheap as chips also !!!

Thats simply outrageous cleaning a flask, i rather think of it as malt whisky barrel, its just not on imo....

I just fill it with boiling water and carry T bags and milk in my snap box, fresh cuppas every time, and no ucky flask to clean, just bung it back in the cupboard when I get home, plus if I fancy a variation such as Oxo , or some dehydrated stuff such as pot noodle, (food of the devil ) etc, I can make it without carrying another flask.
