Fishy Pictures

I know this comes up a lot so apologies for a repeated theme, but it never ceases to amaze me how pictures of fish can make the triumphant angler's fish look other worldly- a fish of such gigantic proportions that bait was most probably a small child. If you opened the fish up, you would probably find a car, or even a small family that was enjoying a gentle boating holiday before they were swallowed whole.

This time it's a chub. Page 7 of this weeks Angler's Mail refers. Two pictures of enormous chub. Only 3 oz between them. Apparently. But look, just look at the picture of the winning catch. Either the angler is being a tad shy about smashing the chub record by about 30lb, or, he is 2ft 4 and has fingers no bigger than cocktail sausages. Or, he is standing 30ft away and those fingers are false, being craftily attached to broomsticks.

I don't know.

I am jealous though.

We can't help but be jealous Howard, it's a male thing. When his five pounds of fish is patently so very much bigger than your five pounds of fish, logic, common sense and your wife's reassuring words are washed away by a torrent of resentment and testosterone :D

Cheers, Dave.

Thanks for that Dave but I now fear my wife may become my ex now she has seen what a 7 pounder looks like. She even threatened to divorce me this morning just because I didn't open the passenger door for her when we went out in the car. Which I thought was a bit harsh. Admittedly I did panic, swam to the surface, and then called for help.

Why ARE women always so unreasonable :D

Cheers, Dave.
