Anyone who uses waders much has probably heard of Diver Dave, he offers a first class reasonably priced postal repair service, pressure testing waders for leaks, re sealing seams and repairing pin holes, tears, etc. Also re soling. Here's a link to his website https://sites.google.com/site/wadersrepairs/. With some breathable or neoprene waders costing several hundred pounds they're obviously not the sort of things to throw away due to the leaks which many develop over time.
In recent years he's started another service whereby he gets new or returned waders from good quality manufacturers, these could be due to initial use failures, wrong size or colour supplies, etc. These are then put through the pressure testing process re sealing the seams, reinforcing known weak points and so on. Dave likens this to the service AMG provide for Mercedes, ie. Improving on the original product, these Dave sells for much less than the RRP so it's very much a win win situation for the customer.
I've just bought a pair of Vision Ikon breathable stockingfoots, these are quality waders available in a wide range of leg length and chest sizes, unlike most other manufacturers who just do a standard fit. These retail for £200 and Dave has charged £100.
The website says prices range from £25-£125
So I'm all set for next summers Salmon fishing season.
